You can Succeed in Spite of Fear

The mind of man is made up of the intellect, will, and emotions. And when it comes to reaching your full potentials you need the stability of emotions more than anything else. Satan understands this clearly and that is why his greatest weapon is to attack your emotions with fear. And as long as your emotions are distorted with fear, it will constantly affect your sense of judgment.

The Bible says, ‘God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, of love and of a sound mind’ (2 Tim 1;7). Therefore, we have a choice to resist fear with the capacity of God in us. No matter how dangerous, imminent and uncertain a situation may look, with a fearless mind we can say what we want rather than what we feel. A wise man said to me recently saying, ‘Do the things you fear and the death of fear is certain’. We walk by faith and not by sight.

We cannot do much with ourselves if we keep responding in fear to every instance of danger or discomfort. Fear torments. It erodes our self-esteem. It exaggerates issues and distorts good sense of reasoning. But true faith in Christ generates uncommon capacity to dare the ‘undare-able’ and do the impossible.

People, companies and governments spend millions each year trying to buy confidence through feedbacks and peoples opinion. And in most cases what they receive as feedbacks are negative. People are easy to tell you that one thing you’re doing wrong while ignoring the many things you did right. They would tell you how things are and not how it could be.

We live in a fast changing world where almost nothing is certain. And in order to avoid the pains of loss and disappointments, we tend to become over- careful. But this would not be necessary if you build a strong confidence in God through knowledge.

Fear simply uses the weapon of uncertainty to unsettle its victims but God uses the infallibility of His thoughts to guarantee the believer’s future (Jeremiah 29:11). Therefore a sound and productive mind is bold, courageous and strong. Joshua was insecure but when he developed a fearless mentality, he took territories that even his mentor was not qualified to take.( Joshua 1;7).

Therefore to develop a sound mind, train your mind to be fearless. Remember, when you do the things you fear, and the death of fear is guaranteed.

Success!
